Pranav's Calm Games ๐ฟ
A short guide for parents, tutors, and therapists ยท pranav-calm-games.pages.dev
Why these games are built this way. Every game follows the same rules, taken from Pranav's
reports: no timers, no failing, no losing; quiet by default (he is sound-sensitive);
big touch targets (fine-motor and left-handed friendly); lots of specific praise; and
they lean on his strong visual memory for confidence. They support his therapy โ they do not
replace his OT, speech, or remedial work.
The games and what each one helps
| Game | What it builds |
| ๐ซง Breathing Bubble | Calming down; slow breathing. Use it to settle before/after harder tasks. |
| โจ Calm Jar | Sensory soothing. No goal โ just watch the glitter settle. |
| ๐ง Memory Match | Visual memory (his strength) โ easy wins and confidence. |
| ๐ What Changed? | Looking carefully and remembering. Fully self-paced. |
| โ๏ธ Trace & Glow | Hand strength & pre-writing control (helps handwriting). |
| ๐งบ Pinch & Sort | Pincer grip + sorting/thinking. Drag or tap-then-tap. |
| ๐ Story Order | Putting events in order โ a language goal from his speech report. |
| ๐ผ๏ธ Picture Words | Reading & matching words to pictures. |
| ๐งฉ Build a Sentence | Sentence structure, no spelling pressure. |
| ๐คธ Copy Me Moves | Body movement for muscle tone, core & balance. Gets him off the chair. |
| ๐ Feelings Faces | Naming feelings + calm-down ideas for big emotions. |
How to run a calm 15โ20 minute session
- Start with a win. Open with Memory Match or What Changed? โ he's good at these.
- One learning game. Pick one from tracing, sorting, or the language games. Just one.
- Get moving. Do Copy Me Moves โ stand up, do it together. This is important, not optional.
- Finish calm. End with Breathing Bubble or Calm Jar so he stops in a settled state.
Good to know
- Praise the effort out loud โ "You kept trying, well done." He responds strongly to appreciation.
- Never rush him. Being hurried is his biggest trigger. There is no timer anywhere on purpose.
- Sound is off by default. The language games have a gentle voice on (it reads words aloud) โ the ๐ button mutes it.
- Screen time is bounded. Always pair sitting games with Copy Me Moves or real outdoor/physical play.
- It remembers his settings and works offline once loaded.
Put it on his device
- Open pranav-calm-games.pages.dev and tap Add to Home Screen โ it opens like a full-screen app.
- Lock him into it: iPhone/iPad โ Guided Access; Android โ Screen Pinning. This blocks ads, exits, and accidental taps.
- On a TV (HDMI): the games show on the TV, but he must tap the laptop/phone โ the TV isn't a touchscreen. Best for Copy Me Moves, where he's standing and moving anyway.
Please share this list with Pranav's POSAT / remedial team and check it fits his current home
program before it becomes a routine. If a game ever frustrates him, stop and switch to Calm Jar.
These are meant to feel like play, never like a test. ๐
